EVENT SUMMARY:
The Center for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (CIDEM), a company of the Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical Industries Group (BioCubaFarma), is pleased to invite you to participate in the 3rd International Symposium CIDEM 2026, to be held from September 21 to 25, 2026, at the Varadero Beach Resort, Cuba.
This event will bring together numerous national and international researchers and will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of the most recent results from the company’s main lines of Biopharmaceutical Research, Development, and Innovation. In addition, it will serve as an ideal setting to qualitatively enhance the level and competitiveness of our company, its projects, national and international collaborations, as well as its products and services.
GENERAL TOPICS OF THE CONGRESS:
- Experimental Biomodels in Neuropharmacology: Tools for Drug Discovery and Evaluation / II Workshop on Zebrafish for Biomedical Purposes in Cuba.
- V Workshop: Bioactive Peptides with Potential Use in Drug Design.
- III Workshop: Experimental Oncology and Toxicology in Preclinical Research.
- II Workshop: Development and Pharmaceutical Innovation.
- New Business Opportunities.
SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM:
The event will feature Plenary Lectures, Oral Presentations, Round Tables, Electronic Posters and Virtual Participation.
PRESENTATION OF THE PAPERS TO THE SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM OF THE EVENT:
The papers will be presented in Spanish or English.
Abstracts must be sent to the email simposiocidem2026@cidem.cu with a deadline of August 7, 2026.

Title: In Bold, Capitals, Arial 12.
Authors: First surname and first letter of the name in Arial 10, using commas between each author, the name of the author who will present the work must appear in bold and underlined.
Author affiliation: Institution, address, and email: in Arial 10, below the names and before the abstract text.
The summary will be written in Arial 12 Word format, single spaced, clearly and precisely, with a maximum of 300 words. This will be structured containing Introduction, Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions and Keywords.
The review of the papers will be carried out by the Scientific Committee, which will decide on their acceptance and presentation modality.

1st Symposium CIDEM 2022
2nd Symposium CIDEM 2024
The 1st CIDEM International Symposium 2022 was held from November 28 to December 1, 2022, at the Iberostar Selection Varadero Hotel, Cuba. The event, conducted in a hybrid format, brought together numerous national and international specialists involved in the company’s priority Research, Development, and Innovation projects and lines. The scientific program included plenary lectures, workshops, business roundtables, and the signing of collaboration agreements.
