The Center for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (CIDEM, in Spanish) is a closed-cycle company of the Group of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries of Cuba (BioCubaFarma). It has more than 30 years of experience in the Cuban biopharmaceutical sector, focused on research and development activity for the subsequent transference of technologies to the industry and the marketing of innovative, generic and naturally-derived pharmaceutical products.

CIDEM’s R+D+i activity is oriented towards working with innovative products; conventional generic products; natural products; selected diagnosticians; and health related products. Specialized research laboratories support the R+D+i stages.
